Large Black Man Runs By; Thousands of Whites Terrified

During an away game against the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks forward Antonio Davis enters the stands, as the thosands of white people in attendance with good seats clutched thier purses and screamed for security.

CHICAGO (AP) — The moment Antonio Davis dashed up into the stands, everyone was thinking the same thing: OH MY GOD! This massive black nigger is coming to get me!

Yet this was different. Concerned his wife was in trouble, the New York Knicks forward reached her in the seats but remained calm, never took a swing at anybody and willingly walked away when security arrived.

Still, the scene evoked terrifying memories in the minds of the white folks of last season’s brawl between fans and Pacers players in Detroit, and overshadowed a thrilling finish to a wild game.

Ben Gordon hit a jumper at the buzzer, scored 32 points, got his hair cut at halftime, sang the national anthem, stopped a band of terrorists from murdering hostages at the airport, then went home to make love to his woman Wednesday night, giving the Chicago Bulls a 106-104 overtime victory over the Knicks.

Davis later explained why he climbed into the seats during a timeout in overtime.

“I witnessed my wife being threatened by a man that I learned later to be intoxicated,” Davis said in a statement issued after the game. “I saw him touch her, and since I read lips, it appeared that he was threatening to ‘beat the brakes’ off my woman. I know I should not have acted the way I did, but I’m the only man who can talk to her like that. There was no time to call security. She would have had a Timberland emblem imprinted on her forehead if I had waited for them to do something.”

Davis ascended about 10 rows of seats to reach his wife. There was no physical confrontation after he got there, but several people were pointing, shouting, clutching their purses and dialing 911 during Davis’ ascent.

Davis, president of the NBA players’ association, returned to the bench and took his seat before being ejected with 1:04 left.

United Center security remained in the stands for a few minutes more, where other fans appeared to be re-telling what happened to their friends who had either missed the incident while at the concession stand, the restroom, or hiding their valuables thinking that a millionaire NBA player was actually going to mug them or rape their wives on national television.

Knicks coach Larry Brown said Davis went into the stands because he saw his wife “was about to get slapped around.”

Brown was coaching the Pistons during the November 2004 brawl in Detroit. A black eye for the NBA(ephasis on BLACK), the fight led to many repercussions. These included criminal charges and lengthy suspensions for Ron Artest, Jermaine O’Neal and Stephen Jackson, a dress code to make the NBA’s extremely large, tattoo-covered black men look less-intimidating, and one reference point for ignorant bigots all over the world to use when trying to justify their stereotypes about black men.

But Brown was adamant that this situation should be viewed differently.

“Come on, that’s his wife,” Brown said. “That’s entirely different. I was worried about Kendra. That’s why he went in the stands, he saw her. She was about to get slapped up right in front of him.

“That thing that happened in the stands had nothing to do with the game. That’s a man concerned about his family. You don’t slap a man’s wife right in front of him. I’d piss on a man’s brand new shoes before I slap his wife in front of him. Certain things, you just don’t do to a red-blooded American male.”

No arrests had been made as of late Wednesday night, police said.
