As if the world needed any more evidence as to the insanity of the one known as Ron Artest, he made the following statement to reporters as the NBA prepares to kick off.

“I’m going to continue playing hard and out of control, like a wild animal that needs to be caged in,” Artest said Tuesday night before the Indiana Pacers faced the New Jersey Nets in the preseason opener for both teams. “I’ll let the referees handle it.”

There is no word on whether fans will be allowed to drink beverages during games in which Artest is scheduled to appear to avoid a replay of the events of November 19th in Auburn Hills, Michigan’s Palace.

Word is that Artest considered a full time move from the NBA to the studio to produce albums for other 90’s semi-successful girl groups such as Shades, Kut Klose, and MoKenStef after producing songs for Allure during his suspension.
