A study has been published revealing something that alot of people have suspected for a long time ( unless you happen to be one of these muthafuckas in the study ). Alot of college graduates are fucking stupid. Unfortunately, the main people who suspected this all along, are not college graduates and their boss is that dumb ass they’ve always known was a dumb fuck. But since they have no degree and arent in charge of shit; they have to endure the troubles of being managed by some one who cant even compare the cost of food per ounce. Living with the fact that the only reason that this jack ass is their boss or supervisor or what have you, is because they have that little piece of paper. .

The study of literacy on college campuses shows that 50 percent of students at 4 year colleges and 75 percent at 2 year colleges, lacked the skills to complete complex literacy task. You know, shit like interpreting a table about exercise and blood pressure (wow), understand the arguments of newspaper editorials (this doesnt surprise me…), compare credit card offers with different interest rates and annual fees or summarize results of a survey about parental involvement in school. Which is just a gotdamn shame overall.

Even more disturbing is the fact that although literacy skills escape alot of college students, the overall average is still higher than adults across the country. Which probably explains why Bush is still in office. Also it was determined that, compared to adults, college students have superior skills in searching text and using information from text and documents. Surprise surprise, thats what you go to college to learn how to do in the first place. Too bad they cant search out “how to’s” on simple shit.

This should send a few messages to those of us who know how to comprehend editorial text and actually apply it to some kind of thought, rather it be your own, or popular opinion ( im not asking for much here people ).

1. A college degree does not award any one common sense.

2. Colleges dont care about you all that much. They really just want your money. Dont die on their watch, or do anything that would embarrass the school (while youre in school). But after that, youre on youre fucking own. And they dont care enough to include some simple thought jogging courses to insure that you can complete simple task to make it on your own. At least not with out fucking up or looking stupid as hell a couple of good times.

3. Kanye’s College Drop out skits were only half true. While, a degree may not guarantee you a job, or some common sense. At least youll be able to work your way into a manager position at kinkos and youll be the dumb ass manager / boss. Instead of having to deal with a dumb ass manager / boss. You tell me which is the lesser of the two evils.

Lastly, in the defense of college students. When they took the test, its possible a good portion of them were already tired of reading and or thinking. And they probably didnt take the test ALL that seriously. So its possible that these numbers are a little bit off. But doesnt change much else.
